Kurds or Kurdish people are an ethnic group native to the mountainous region of Kurdistan in West Asia, which spans southeastern Turkey, northwestern Iran, northern Iraq, and northern Syria. Kurdish Syria or Syrian Kurdistan or Rojava is a region in northern Syria next to Turkey where Kurds form the majority. Due to Turkey having Kurdish territories inside it's borders, Turkey has always been skeptical of the region. With Assad gone, there is a risk of Kurdish Syria pushing for independent or complete autonomous rule.
